My challenge this year is based on the Law and Promise – Helping Other People. The idea is to do something for the community in which you do your Scouting. It could be planting some flowers, visiting old people’s homes, looking after gardens, fundraising for a local cause. I am sure you will have lots of other ideas. You might like to think about Shelterbox which provides much needed equipment for disaster areas such as Haiti.
As another example, Radio Suffolk is running its “Don’t be a Tosser” campaign and if you give Mark Murphy enough notice he will, if he can, come and help you with your litter pick. Which brings me to the second part of the challenge and that is to get your event publicised. Contact Brian Roe our Media Manger at
