Local Policies

Local Policies

In order to manage Scouting locally in Suffolk, a number of policies and information documents have been provided so that people can clearly understand what is required or exists for the given times they will apply.

The particular policy or information sheet can be downloaded from the links below.

Key National Policies are shown in the Policy, Organisation and Rules website & document that Scouting uses to manage the organisation and activities see Policy, Organisation and Rules | Scouts section 2a.  Other HQ policies, apart from the key ones, can be seen here - Policy | Scouts

Grants & Fundraising

GrantsThe County Inclusion Fund was established by the County Trustee Board for the purpose of providing a confidential financial grant making facility to assist a Member of Suffolk Scouts who satisfies the terms, conditions and grant qualifying criteria towards meeting an event fee to attend a Domestic or an International event and who without a contribution from the fund there would be a high risk the member would be excluded from attending for economic reasons alone. Summary and detailed documents are available below along with application forms.

Fundraising: These instructions have been produced to ensure so far as possible that fundraising for supporting attendance at an event meets Suffolk Scouts’ requirements which are informed by the Charity Commission’s guidelines and best practice which you are recommended to check on its website. For fundraising scenarios which relate to group or district events, the group/district are advised to adapt these instructions to suit their own circumstances.

These particular Instructions relate to County led or sponsored events
