When & Where!

The World Scout Jamboree will be held from 30 July to 8 August 2027 in Gdansk, Poland

The World Scout Jamboree is a Scouting jamboree of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, typically attended by more than 50,000 Scouts from around the world, aged 14 to 17, with the aim of cultural exchange and building friendships

.

The Suffolk Team

The WSJ Leader is Juliet Grimes who has attended 2 previous events. She is supported by Craig Finch, Karen Pettitt and Catherine Dew.  There will others in support of the contingent as they plan events to get to know each other. 


Information Events

We will be hosting a series of online information sessions for young people and their parents/carers to learn more about the Jamboree experience, what’s involved in applying, and what to expect throughout the process.

Application & Selection Day

The deadline for returning completed application forms is midnight on 10th October 2025.  We ask that all YP's applying also have a reference from their leader which covers their suitability and strengths (please can you also send this to the email below by the 10th October).

  • All applicants will then be invited to attend an in-person selection day on 26th October 2025 at Hallowtree, Ipswich with successful applicants being notified later that day.
