Updated 22/5/24 with funeral arrangements):

It is with huge sadness that I tell you that Graham Parker passed away last night, Saturday 11th May.

Graham was a long-standing (over 50 years of service) member of the Scout Association, and he will be much missed. He was instrumental in the success of the 24th Ipswich Scout Group and Wolsey District, not forgetting his hard work at Hallowtree.

Max Raffe (DC Orwell) and an old friend of Graham’s was able to present him with his very well-deserved Silver Wolf award on Friday.

Details concerning Graham’s funeral are below:

Message received from Lyn Parker: Graham's funeral has been arranged for Tuesday 11th June at 1.30pm at Seven Hills Crematorium. The wake will be at Hallowtree at the Raven Hut as the main hall is being used at this time of year for school visits. Hopefully it will be a lovely day and we will be able to overlook the river and think of Graham (if not we will be wearing waterproofs and sheltering under the veranda).

Please pass the message on and ask that people wear uniform or dark colours. Graham wanted things done “properly”.
