It is sad news to inform you all that Geoffrey Harvey, a scouter in Ipswich and a member of the Ipswich Gang Show sadly passed away on August 3rd, aged 86.
He joined the 2nd Ipswich Scout Group at the age of 11 and continued at the 6th Ipswich St Johns Scout Group from the age of 18.
Before emigrating to Canada, with his wife Beryl in 1963, Geoffrey was a senior Scout leader at the 6th Ipswich.
Though he left his Scouting roots in the UK behind, Geoffrey never forgot the fundamentals of Scouting and enjoyed reminiscing of his Scouting days gone by.
