District Lead Volunteer - Stowmarket

StowmarketDistrictI am very pleased to announce that Juliet Grimes has been appointed as the next DLV for the Stowmarket District and will take over the role from 1st August 2025.  She will be supported by Paula Hollings, the current DLV, and other district and group teams until the induction has been completed.

I would like to thank Paula for her dedication and service to Scouting in leading the district for the last 5 years and her continuing support as well as in activities further afield.

Jules has been an active volunteer at 1st Eye Scout Group and Stowmarket District since 2010 when she first helped with her son’s Cub Section in Eye. She started on the Group Trustee Board, contributing to the successful project to build a new Scout headquarters, and later joined the Scout team and going on to support several of the CMAT expeditions.

JulesGrimesIn 2020, Jules became Group Scout Leader at 1st Eye, and more recently supported programme delivery as Deputy District Lead Volunteer. She is passionate about the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and is often out supervising or assessing expeditions. In 2023, she joined Unit 19 from Essex and attended the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea - certainly challenging at times but a great adventure to share with the unit members.

I ask all volunteers and young people to welcome and support Jules as she settle into her new role and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact her or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
