Gone Home - Aubrey Webb

Sad news received from Max Raffe of the passing of Aubrey Webb on Thursday evening (11th June), after a short illness. Our most sincere condolences to Jan & family.

At District and County level he played a major part in training so many Leaders with the up-to-date First Aid skills (module 10) and was often the designated First Aider at camps and events including the Ipswich Gang Show.

Aubrey had a long association with the 13th Ipswich Sea Scout Group with Tom and Chris as youngsters in the Group and his wife Jan starting and being part of the Beaver Colony for over 40 years. Also their daughter in law Claire, granddaughters Emily and Lucy were members at the 13th.

Aubrey arrived at the 13th when Tom started Cubs and was soon running a Cub Football team on Saturday mornings when there was a District League. He took a full part in supporting the 13th in many ways including being an active member in the Parents Committee.

Aubrey completed over 50 years as an adult in Scouting with a variety of roles in different Groups and I am pleased that he chose to celebrate his 50 year Long Service Award with the 13th Ipswich a couple of years ago.

Funeral details will updated here when known.
