It's been a busy week.  Monday evening I popped in to the CMAT meeting at Hallowtree. This group of Leaders are fantastic, planning climbing and walking trips for young people in the County.  Tuesday was Deben District AGM , yet more fantastic Leaders who work tirelessly to give the youngsters in their sections a fun and challenging time. Wednesday was the County Appointments Advisory Panel at Hallowtree and I am so pleased to report that Brian Harvey is the new ACC Beaver Scouts. I know that he will do a super job.

Thursday was Wolsey District AGM and I was able to present Lesley Brown, ADC Beaver Scouts and caterer extraordinaire, with the Silver Acorn and the Bar to the Silver Acorn to the DC Graham Parker.  Graham has stood down after 10 years as District Commissioner.

Graham is joining the County Development Team.  It is always good to meet old friends at the AGMs.

Friday was supper with work colleagues and Saturday.............well, what a fabulous time I had at the Sudbury District Beaver sleepover.  The theme was flight and after making planes at Clare Country Park they headed back to the old school, entered the Tardis ( I swear it was the real one) and stepped into Christmas.

Christmas crafts, lots of singing, a full size dalek, Christmas dinner and a visit from 'You Know Who' (Bill Hotchkiss) with a present for every youngster. It was then off on a treasure hunt and back through the Tardis to Halloween. What fantastic memories for all of the Beavers who attended. Ann Robinson and her fabulous team made the sleepover pure magic -  I loved it!
