ExpiredThe weekend began with a reflection on UK Scouting’s journey over the last 10 years and the work left to do as we move towards achieving the Vision Towards 2018. Alan Craft (Chair of the National Board of Trustees), Wayne Bulpitt (UK Chief Commissioner) and Derek Twine (CEO, The Scout Association) were chaired by broadcaster and journalist Nadine Dereza as they kicked off the debate.
To ensure that this will be appropriate, they have launched a consultation document on the way that the moderation could work. You can read the consultation document online.

ExpiredOne-day events: £25 plus First Aider's travel expenses and provision of appropriate food for period of event.
Evening events: £10 plus First Aider's travel expenses.
For events covering more than one day and including 24-hour cover, rate subject to agreement with the County First Aid Team.
The charges have become necessary due to high demand and the need to replace not only consumables used at events but also replace equipment and provide additional training for more First Aiders!

ExpiredAt the end of October on a very wet Sunday I visited Raven Hut at Hallowtree where Jamboree on the Air was taking place. There were four hardy Scout Troops camping:
6th Old Felixstowe, 1st Great Barton, 4th Ipswich and 10th Ipswich. Camping with Gt Barton was one of the County Vice Presidents, Gordon Biden, just proves you can't keep an old Scouter down......well done Gordon.

ExpiredThink u Know is a scheme that educates young people about how to stay safe online. It tackles issues such as cyber bullying to grooming. It aims to ensure that young people stay safe online and that they know what to do if they are worried about what they are experiencing online.
