The Beaver Leader sleepover is planned for Friday 24th to Sat 25th February at Hallowtree and is open to all Beaver Leaders, Assistant Leaders and Colony Assistants.  The Friday night will be a social fun evening with a chance to meet/catch up with Leaders from other Districts in Suffolk culminating with an outdoor campfire.

Saturday will be a craft skills day where there will be lots of ideas for 2012, based on the Olympics, Diamond Jubilee and much more.  Some of the Scouts who attended the Jamboree will be doing a presentation on the Saturday morning and demonstrating some of the crafts they learnt whilst in Sweden.  Also, Pat Ramsey, the County Scouter for Disability and Special Needs will be visiting the sleepover to do a short session and to answer your questions and issues in your Colonies.

The cost for the sleepover is £20 each, please complete and return the slip at the bottom of the page (of the file downloadable from the link below) to David Wardley if you would like to attend.

 New County Beaver Souvenir Badge

To celebrate 2012, the Olympics and the Queens Diamond Jubilee, we have created a Souvenir Badge for the Beavers and Leaders to have on their camp blankets.  These can be given out to Beavers as prizes or as a souvenir of an event.  A photo of the badge will be sent around shortly.

The badges cost £1 and will be available from myself, Tina Vickers or Helena Mecrow mid January.  Just let us know how many you would like and send a cheque payable to ‘Suffolk Beaver Scouts’ for the total amount and we will get them posted to you.

 Our Sporting Adventure

Please note there is still time to register your Colony for ‘Our Sporting Adventure’, which challenges every colony to undertake various activities from 1st January to 30th September 2012.  This is a competition being run by Scout HQ and is open to all sections.  Further details can be found at:
