I can't believe that it has been two weeks since the Jubilee celebrations... had a fantastic time and I hope you did too. I have had a busy time, mostly with meetings, but I did drop into Boxford for the 3rd Sudbury centenary celebration.

Everybody had had a super time with all the bases. At the end of the day at the AGM I was pleased to present Bill Hotchkiss with his Silver Acorn. Bill is an old time Scouter who has supported not only 3rd Sudbury but the whole District over many years. He can always be called upon for advice.

Wasn't it a shame about the cancellation of the County Show. I was due to go on the Friday and was so disappointed to miss it. Orwell District did us proud with their displays and I understand there were a number of enquiries to join us.

I was very proud and privileged to attend the Queen's Garden Party at Sandringham with Tina Vickers, Nicola Day, David Wardley. The men looked really dapper in their suits and we girls scrubbed up well in our posh frocks. What an experience for everyone.

Waveney Valley held their AGM last Wednesday. It was a pleasure to talk to old friends. I presented Brian Howard with the Bar to his Silver Acorn. He has done sterling work for Scouting and his local community.

We are well into the camping season so I hope the weather is kind to you all.

Have fun and be safe.

Jenny
