I can't believe it's nearly a month since I last wrote a blog; time is just flying by.
At the end of October on a very wet Sunday I visited Raven Hut at Hallowtree where Jamboree on the Air was taking place. There were four hardy Scout Troops camping:
6th Old Felixstowe, 1st Great Barton, 4th Ipswich and 10th Ipswich. Camping with Gt Barton was one of the County Vice Presidents, Gordon Biden, just proves you can't keep an old Scouter down......well done Gordon.

Peter Best who, along with his team, organises this event, said that 5 Scouts from the 36th Ipswich visited to undertake the Communicator Badge. All completed a fairly intensive 4hrs of activities.
Cub Scouts from 1st Capel St Mary visited and had the "JOTA experience"!
Let's see if we can beat that next year!
There was a great deal of energy and enthusiasm displayed by all that attended, including the Team who made it happen.

Yesterday was a Regional meeting for County Commissioners at Newmarket. This was our first meeting with Matt Miles, our new Regional Commissioner. The County Core team and Chairmen along with the other Counties teams met Matt after the meeting for tea and a chat. This was a really good day.

I joined the 14th Ipswich at Remembrance Service at St Augustine's Church where I presented Andrew Piotrowski with the Medal for Merit plus his 15-year service award. I also met a remarkable young Scout who has earned all of the badges from Beavers and Cubs - well done Adam Kearney! I'm sure he will be looking to gain all of the Scout badges and he did promise me that he will become a Queen's Scout!
