Compass large-Color
Project Compass
is all about the new membership system for The Scout Association (TSA) and in Suffolk, we hope to be switching over to it during the first 2 weeks in September 2014.

The aim is to have the 2015 Census completed by the press of a button.. but the Compass system is going to do much more than just that!

If you have any queries initially, please contact the Suffolk Compass Champion, Carl Gloess at the following email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and he'll deal with it as soon as possible.

So just what's going to happen ?

To find out just what Compass will do, you can catch up on the main HQ Compass website at www.scouts.org.uk/compass where you can see a short overview.  There has been more information already published in Scouting magazine that you may have already missed and a small booklet is available below.  More will be appearing in the next issues of Scouting... so keep an eye out ..

What do we have to do ?
Right now, one of the most important things you can do is to log-in to the main HQ system and check your data is correct - and update your own contact details - including the e-mail address you may have entered  - as well as check the information in all the other parts of your record - roles, training etc.  You'll need your membership number to get started if you don't have a user-name.

The file below will help guide you through the system if you haven't done this before..

An important part of your information is that on the "Location" tab which needs to be updated to point to the Section in which you have a role. If you have more than one role, choose the Default role to be the "highest" level.  Any questions about this, please get in touch with Carl (see above).

The full guide to what activities are happening and by when is available in the Compass/Compass-Downloads option from the About  in the main menu (log-in required).
